This weekend we had Canal Days!! It’s like Scandinavian Days only bigger. And more alcohol. Anyway, a lot of towns around here have their own festival/canal days throughout the summer. So Fairport Days closed off the section of Main Street that goes over the canal and booths lined both sides, the plaza parking lot and next to the canal. It was HUGE and it was packed with people. We did service at the bookstore booth where we serve on Thursdays. We didn’t get to walk around and look at all the booths, but a ward member did bring us some delicious kettle corn. I LOVE the members in this ward.
Area miracle of the week: oh man, are you guys ready for this? WE HAVE A NEW INVESTIGATOR!! First one this area has had in about 9 weeks. We were street contacting/ tracting on Main Street, thinking canal days started on Friday and that there’d be lots of people there. We didn’t meet anyone so we went to a nearby garage sale and talked to the people and that’s how we found Lexi!! She’s 15 and seems like she’s super awesome. We have a return appointment with her on Thursday so hopefully it goes well!
